Hi
I am a researcher at Curtin University in Perth WA, and I am
currently conducting research into deconversion experiences. I am
looking for volunteers from the Perth area who would be willing to
share their deconversion stories with me. If you know of anyone who
may be interested or if you yourself are please contact me on the
email listed below. Here is my print ad with the details:
ExChristian?
Have you left a Christian based religion that you were raised in
from childhood?
If so we would like to speak to you.
Volunteers are required for a research project being conducted
through the School of Psychology at Curtin University, entitled
Losing my religion: Existential outcomes following deconversion
from a Christian faith. The aim of this project is to establish
whether there are any common thoughts, emotions or experiences
shared by individuals who have broken away from a Christian based
faith.
Volunteers will be required to take part in a one hour interview
with the researcher in which questions will be asked regarding your
personal religious history and experiences, and current thoughts
and emotions relating to religion.
If you are interested in taking part in this study and would like
further information, please email your interest to:

Leighlou -
Make sure you also contact exchristian.net. There's a large
community of deconverts there, and you might find a connection to
some in your area.
If your interviews could be conducted online or by phone you would
have a much easier time finding people. I only know a few
Australians online, and none in your area.

Thanks for that Ubi:)
It would be so much easier if I could do interviews over the
net/phone but the ethics committee at my university requested that
I do face to face. I will give exchristian.net a try also.
