In a funk

I don't know what it is, but I am in a funk and have been all day.

Maybe its lack of sleep cuz I woke up at 2:30 and only dozed until my alarm went off. Maybe its just a bad day, I don't know.

I am ready to snap. I want a fight! You ever had one of those moods where you want to provoke an argument, but know you shouldn't? That's me today.

Whatever it is, my poor wife is walking around on egg shells and my dog is hiding!

Here's to hoping I feel better tomorrow!

Try 5 days in a row of insomnia and migraine headaches. That'll do a number on your mood. (Yep, that's been my week.) Add a buggersome cough that's been hanging around for a month too. Aging kinda sucks, but it beats not aging (unless you're the Highlander I guess).

I try to put it in perspective. My job makes me all to aware of how many people find themselves in agony from crippling arthritis; losing their minds from an idiopathic, progressive dementia; sidelined from life by uncontrollable, neuropathies.

I remember going to a small teaching conference on multiple sclerosis. We met some MS patients. One of them was pretty, young lady, only 31 years old. She had progressive MS and already had to walk with crutches. She was smiling and very friendly with us all. Seemed quite happy.

So I lose a bit of sleep and have a lot of bad headaches. Suck it up I have to tell myself.

Hmmm... maybe a bit heavier answer than you were looking for.

Brother, I feel your pain! Literally.

I too suffer from migraines and have had 3 in the last 5 days, so I know what you mean.
I feel ya on the insomnia too. Although I did get a good night's sleep last night, the night before I woke up at 2:30 and couldn't get back to sleep.

Your post reads like you were in a funk yourself! Maybe its the weather....

I couldn't live without Benadryl (or the generic version). Even though I use Rx Ambien, I still need the Benadryl, and I can take it anytime during the night if I wake up and can't go back to sleep, but I'm not supposed to take more Ambien.
